Consultation

the Historical Artist provides art & craft heritage consultation. Eva-Maria, the founder, applies extensive interdisciplinary historical & practical training in art, craft, design, & industry to advise & work closely with clients on strategy, development, & creative direction to achieve their specific goals.

Eva-Maria is interested in the preservation of art & craft lineages by integrating into contemporary practices. She believes this is achieved by applying tangible & intangible knowledge into the everyday.  By focusing on objects of material cultures, visual & text narratives, and the oral & empirical traditions in hands-on expertise from around the world, we can thrive in our modern methods, education & industry practices.

Eva-Maria consults with renowned artists in the studio practice, and archives, creativity, program and project development for artists, collectors & craft heritage organizations. She gives workshops & talks internationally on the history of art technology and color and lectures on the history of experimentation of color in art, craft, design, & science. She has also worked in conservation studios, the fashion design industry, museums & institutions. Eva-Maria continues to develop her studio practice as she furthers her research and integrates it with her passion for artisanal historical knowledge & her creativity.
